Cindy Winchell

Cindy has been the President/CEO of C. Winchell Agency since May 1992. After several years as a Manager of Acme Employment Service, specializing in the Recruitment of Insurance Professionals, it was time to “branch out” on her own. C. Winchell Agency was originally established in the basement of her house, then moved to office space and ultimately “larger” office space. The Agency has a solid track record of placing approximately 300-400 insurance professionals every year. Our professional recruiting staff prides ourselves in personal networking, not only through the the CPCU & PIA organizations but through many years of building solid relationships throughout the industry. With a dedicated staff of 7 Recruiters and 3 Administrative support personnel, the Agency is stronger and more successful that ever!

Cassandra Banko

Cassandra Banko holds the distinction of being the longest tenured employee of C. Winchell Agency. She began her career with the agency developing the Accounting/Financial and P&C Underwriting areas, which she maintains to date. She handles the placement of candidates in the Tri State area so successfully that she has held the title of Outstanding Sales Performer for the agency for 15 of her 18 years. Cassandra is currently C. Winchell Agency’s Vice President, responsible for not only, “hard to fill” recruiting assignments, but also the day-to-day overall operations of C. Winchell Agency.

Chris Belmer
Agency/Broker Recruiter Specialist - cwaagt3@ptd.net

Chris Belmer joins C. Winchell Agency as our newest recruiter as of May 2013. He is handling our NY and CT Agency/Broker recruiting efforts. Chris comes to us with an extensive management, customer service and training background. In his last position with a very large airline, he collaborated and networked extensively with the Human Resource Partners to identify new job opportunities within all airline company divisions. He also recruited, interviewed, hired and trained all new employees. This past experience of 12 years has been an asset to his efforts here at C. Winchell Agency.

Kathy Hernandez

C. Winchell Agency has the great fortune of having Kathy with us since 2002! With so many years with C. Winchell Agency, she is well known with all of our clients and candidates and is another “main stay” for the Agency. Due to Kathy's dedication and drive she has been promoted and is now responsible for our NJ/PA agency/broker recruiting desk.

Barbara Sauers
Marketing Specialist/Manager - Administration & Operations - cwresume@ptd.net

Barbara has worked her way up through the ranks at C. Winchell Agency since beginning her career here in 1999. She has progressed from Administrative Manager to the Manager of Administration & Operations. Barbara’s newest endeavor is the position of Marketing Specialist, assisting the Recruiters with the placement of Insurance professionals. In addition, Barbara also maintains the computer systems at C. Winchell Agency, ensuring state of the art tools, computer upgrades, maintenance, etc.

Tina Doyle
Executive Assistant to the President, Cindy Winchell - cwaadmin@ptd.net

Tina has her work cut out for her! As the Executive Assistant to the President, Cindy Winchell she is “the driver of the bus!” Tina joined C. Winchell Agency in 2004 after relocating to PA from Detroit. She is our “events coordinator, craft wizard and Santa elf”, all while backing up Cindy Winchell with all company, personal and administrative and corporate matters.

Danielle Batista

Danielle is originally from Australia, where she was a personal trainer. She moved to America in 2006, to be a Nanny for 6 children in New Jersey. After getting married she and her husband moved to Pennsylvania. For the last 7 years Danielle has worked in banking, which is where she became acquainted with the employees of C. Winchell Agency. The “favorite teller” at the bank always joked about wanting to come work for Cindy and when an opportunity came up, the joking became a reality. As the newest member of C. Winchell Agency, Danielle is the Executive Assistant to the Vice President Cassandra Banko. Danielle has a 4 year old son and an extensive shoe collection!

Kathryn Ottalagano
Receptionist - cwa@cwinchellagency.com

Kathy holds the role of Receptionist, a spot vacated when our full time receptionist retired in 2012. Her “eclectic” background includes hairdressing, being a Manager with Tupperware, fundraising and becoming a Certified Medical Assistant. Kathi has also worked in the Hospitality industry working for the Hilton Hotel chain for several years before coming to C. Winchell Agency in 2012. In her “off hours”, Kathi and her husband also operate a karaoke DJ service. Her singing voice is Awesome! She is the "light and smile" of everyone's day! No voicemail for us!


The Agency is entirely computerized with "state of the art" hardware and software, which enables us to maintain total confidential control of all our clients and applicants. We have numerous built-in, cross-referencing capabilities and have a long established "web-site" on the Internet at www.cwinchellagency.com. Each week you can find an average of close to 500 jobs on our website, along with 100 of our top jobs listed on CareerBuilder, Monster, JobFox, LinkedIn, Ladders and many others.

Since opening the Agency, we have placed individuals in P&C positions at more than 800 client companies, including many of the largest national P&C insurers and their subsidiaries, a large number of domestic and international reinsurers as well as the top national brokers, large-mid sized regional brokers as well as many, "main street" agencies. Our client base also includes the most well-known claim service/TPA's and large self insured corporations for in-house claims and risk management personnel.

You will note that the majority of the experience of our employees is insurance-related, and our recruiting firm does not become involved in any other field. Within the insurance industry, we handle Underwriters, Claim Professionals, Accountants, Agency Account Representatives, Programmers & System Analysts, Human Resources, Reinsurance and all other areas of Operations, Product Development, Marketing & Support as well as Life, Health and Benefits.

We would like to point out that we are not "head hunters". We do not "raid" our client companies. Rather, we rely on networking, referrals and the Internet through various search engines, along with current applicants to locate appropriate candidates for our client companies. All such candidates are interviewed extensively and we do not refer candidates unless we believe they truly "fit" the position in question. We will also do reference checks whenever requested by a client to do so. We do not, however, do credit or criminal checks.
