C. Winchell Agency was incorporated in Pennsylvania in May of 1992 after fifteen years of experience in the recruiting field. Our Agency handles only Insurance-related Personnel.

 
Cindy Winchell
President/CEO

I began my career handling diversified insurance placements, specializing in the claims area with Snelling & Snelling in 1978, and since that time, I have worked solely in the insurance industry, including a stint with AIG as an Assistant Human Resources Director. I managed a branch office of an established recruiting firm in New Jersey for 12 years, where I created their insurance division prior to starting C. Winchell Agency in 1992.

RECRUITING EXPERTISE: Upper level management and VP candidates as well as environmental, ocean marine, medical malpractice, professional liability claims and underwriting, business systems analyst, risk management and those “unique-hard to fill” searches for all of the P&C/Reinsurance and Broker venues across the country.

Aaron Winchell
CFO

After graduating college with a Bachelor's Degree in 1994, Aaron began his insurance career as an Underwriting Trainee with Greater New York Insurance. He later moved to Kemper Insurance Group as an International Property & Casualty Underwriter. Aaron is involved in the management of the entire recruiting staff, as well as handling day-to-day accounting and financial matters. Aaron's technology knowledge allowed us to convert from a manual accounting system to full automation. He is also involved with all Human Resources related issues and is available to you for any reason in my absence.

Michael Reeves
Underwriting & Staff Recruiting Manager

Michael came to C. Winchell Agency with a diverse underwriting background spanning sixteen years. His experience includes commercial property and casualty lines, as well as umbrella and workers compensation policies. He also has diverse carrier background that ranges from the “mutual” to “international” carrier environment. Over the years he has taken on a “senior” role and now assists in the training and overall recruiting guidance and management of our staff members.

RECRUITING EXPERTISE: Commercial underwriting, rating, quality assurance and marketing throughout New Jersey, New York and Connecticut and Nationwide.

Cassandra Banko
Recruiting Operations Supervisor / Manager

Cassandra joined our company in 1996 following nine years with PNC Bank as the Assistant Branch Manager in their Pocono Pines branch. Her extensive financial and accounting background allows us to service our client's increasing demand in these areas for recruiting support. Cassandra was promoted to her current position in January 2002 where she manages the day-to-day operational activities while continuing her own recruiting efforts.

RECRUITING EXPERTISE: All financial, accounting, reinsurance claims and reinsurance underwriting Nationwide.

Lisa Jansen
Claims Recruiting Specialist

Lisa came to C. Winchell Agency with an extremely solid claims background, having worked for Travelers Property & Casualty Insurance Company since 1988, both in their Northern New Jersey and South Carolina offices. She is an excellent addition to our claims recruiting team.

RECRUITING EXPERTISE: All workers compensation claims throughout the New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware and Nationwide.

Jess Erdmann
Claims Recruiting Specialist

Originally from Pennsylvania, Jess was employed with Progressive Insurance from 2001 to 2005 in their Portland, Oregon and Albany, New York offices, first as a Medical Claims Examiner and later as an Arbitration Specialist. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

RECRUITING EXPERTISE: Automobile and property claims throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Nationwide.

Glenn Cronauer
Insurance Recruiting Specialist

Glenn joined C. Winchell Agency in August 2006. Glenn holds an Associate in Commercial Underwriting, a Bachelor Degree from Kutztown University and is continuing on for his Masters from College Misericordia. His 5 years as a Casualty Underwriter for Guard Insurance along with 6 years in sales, advertising and broadcasting, made him an ideal choice to join our professional recruiting firm.

RECRUITING EXPERTISE: Workers compensation, commercial automobile, personal lines and multi-line underwriting and rating candidates, statistical analysts, regulatory compliance and personal lines agency/broker professionals throughout all New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware and Nationwide.

Gail Keiper
Agency/Broker Recruiting Specialist

Gail began her career at C. Winchell Agency as my Executive Secretary where she gained valuable insurance and recruiting knowledge. She was promoted and moved over to the recruiting side of the agency. Gail's career background has primarily been in the legal field, as well as being a partner in a small court reporting firm.

Scott Fuller
Agency/Broker Recruiting Specialist

Scott came to our agency in 2005 with a strong background in sales, marketing and human resources, having earned his Human Resources Generalist Certificate from the Society for Human Resources Management. Scott is a member of our Property and Casualty Agency Broker team and due to Scott previously having his Pennsylvania Life & Health Producers License, he was the perfect choice to also spear-head our Life, Health and Benefits areas.

RECRUITING EXPERTISE: Commercial agency/broker professionals in Northern and Central New Jersey as well all Life & Health professionals within the tri-state area.

Carol Bond
Agency/Broker Recruiting Specialist

Carol Bond joined us in April 2007, as a Recruiting Assistant for 3 of our top Recruiting Producers. She has shown such enthusiasm, sales abilities and tremendous "people skills" that we have recently promoted her to a Recruiting Specialist within our Agency/Broker Team. Her previous management experience while living in Northern NJ, prior to joining C. Winchell Agency, will be a great asset to us. She will be handling the placement and recruitment of our Agency/Broker candidates throughout all of NY and CT.

Barbara Mongelli
Manager - Administration & Operations

Barbara joined us in 1999 as a Secretary. Graduating from Allentown Business School she became a very important member of our secretarial/support staff. She is now our Manager of Administration & Operations, having full responsibility for all daily support functions and manages 8 other secretarial/administrative employees. Barbara also has overall responsibility for our in-house computer, server, individual computers, databases and E-mail system.

Geri Moyer
Assistant Manager - Administration & Operations

Geri joined C. Winchell Agency in January of 2000 as our receptionist. Her 20 years of previous customer service experience helped her to quickly climb the ranks of our administration/operations department and in 2006 she was promoted to Administration Team Leader. She has excelled in her new position and was once again promoted in 2007 to Assistant Manager of Administration and Operations. In 2006, Geri was voted as MVP of the entire agency, as voted on by all of her peers. Her responsibilities include the oversight of the Administrative Department as well as creating and maintaining all of our databases. She is also the "point-person" for all of the agency’s special projects.

Since opening the Agency, we have placed individuals in P&C positions at more than 500 client companies, including many of the largest national P&C insurers and their subsidiaries, a large number of domestic and international reinsurers as well as the top national brokers, large-mid sized regional brokers as well as many, "main street" agencies. Our client base also includes the most well-known claim service/TPA's and large self insured corporations for in-house claims and risk management personnel.

You will note that the majority of the experience of our employees is insurance-related, and our recruiting firm does not become involved in any other field. Within the insurance industry, we handle Underwriters, Claim Professionals, Accountants, Agency Account Representatives, Programmers & System Analysts, Human Resources, Reinsurance and all other areas of Operations, Product Development, Marketing & Support as well as Life, Health and Benefits.

We would like to point out that we are not "head hunters". We do not "raid" client companies. Rather, we rely on advertising, referrals, the Internet through various search engines, along with current applicants to locate appropriate candidates for our client companies. All such candidates are interviewed extensively and we do not refer candidates unless we believe they truly "fit" the position in question. We will also do reference checks whenever requested by a client to do so. We do not, however, do credit or criminal checks.
