Job Title : Reinsurance Analyst

   Description : Dynamic opportunity to join a ceded reinsurance team with a growing company! Individual will be responsible for timely preparation of ceded accounts, bordereau production and recording of ceded payable and recoverable amounts. Collection and settlement of outstanding balances due to/from the company. Reconciliation and analysis of related accounts to the general ledger. Review and interpret reinsurance contract and facultative certificate terms (Quota Share, Excess of Loss, aggregates, retentions, inuring coverages, exclusions, etc.). Assist in the monthly / quarterly close process, including preparation of various quarterly financial analyses.

   Requirement : BS/BA degree in accounting, finance or business. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Reinsurance Accounting Department of a property and casualty reinsurance intermediary, insurance or reinsurance company is preferred. Basic understanding of all functions pertaining to ceded reinsurance accounting is preferred. Basic knowledge of reinsurance contracts and the ceded reinsurance claim recovery process is preferred. Excellent PC skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables & VLOOKUPS) and Access. Knowledge of PeopleSoft is highly desirable. Strong analytical, problem solving and technical skills.

Job Title : Treaty Casualty Underwriter (4)

   Description : Highly rated global leader in the reinsurance industry is seeking a casualty underwriter to analyze, maintain and manager treaty accounts for large, national ceding companies. Individual will underwrite and manage both excess of loss and proportional treaty reinsurance business within in guidelines on an on-going basis. Develop and maintain relationships with national and regional reinsurance brokers. Prospect, cultivate and produce new business. Attend industry conferences/ meetings as needed. Interact and collaborate with all functional areas of the company including actuarial, contract wording, accounting, law and claims departments. Schedule, organize and conduct underwriting audits for both new and existing accounts.
